•Requires minor engine block grinding at the lower two rear main cover bolts

•Requires using main studs (ARP is one popular brand)

•Stiffens the main caps and eliminates or greatly reduces main cap to block flex and fretting

•Recommended to line hone the engine with the girdle installed
